Mississippi State baseball will play in its third consecutive NCAA super regionals in as many years.

The “Rally Dawgs” won the Tallahassee Regional last Monday despite slipping into the losers’ bracket on Day 1 of the tournament.

Mississippi State beat Oklahoma twice in the championship round, 13-5 and 8-1, to advance. They will play a best-of-three series vs. Vanderbilt starting this Friday.

Nashville will be the host site for the Super Regional matchup.

Both teams faced each other in SEC play during the regular season. Vanderbilt swept Mississippi State in Starkville during that three-game SEC series.

Mississippi State’s (35-26) last trip to the College World Series was in 2013. Vanderbilt (34-25) made it to Omaha in 2015.

The super regional at Vanderbilt will start on Friday:

Game 1: Friday, 7 p.m. (ESPN2)

Game 2: Saturday, 8:30 p.m. (ESPN)

Game 3 (if necessary): 5 p.m. (ESPN2)
