On Saturday, June 30, 2018, BareKnuckle Promotions (BKP) returns to Laurel, MS. Dominating the sport of boxing in the Mississippi, BKP is headlining “Independence Weekend Brawl” a night of professional and amateur boxing. This will be a night that you do not want to miss. Who knows, you may see a future World Champion live on June 30 the in the ring.

This card is full of top talent. Returning to Laurel, Rydell “Rock n’ Rye” Booker, Heavyweight from Detroit, Michigan with a record of 24-1-0, 12 Kos, will be the Main Event in an eight rounder. Rydell is a hometown hero in Detroit and when you see him fight, you will know why! Booker is regaining control and eager to make some noise in boxing’s glamourous heavyweight division. Booker will have to be on his game as he takes on spoiler Skylar Thompson, Heavyweight from Rockford, Illinois with a record of 12-23-0, 10 KOs.

BKP’s Co-Main Event heavyweight six rounder will feature the Jeremiah Williams with a record or 8-12-1, 4 KOs. Winning his last fight in Laurel by Knock Out with two minutes and 20 seconds into the second round, Williams is excited about returning to Laurel, MS to deliver another Knock out.

Laurel’s own Curtis “Hardknocks” Johnson Jr. is a hometown favorite. Johnson has an unblemished

professional record of 9-0-0, 7 KOs. Hardknocks will look to keep his record perfect. His amateur career consisted of State, Regional, and National Titles, which rose him to the national rankings in his weight class to No. 4 in the Nation.

SPECIAL ATTRACTION: Cedrick Paul, from Detroit, Michigan will be making his Pro Debut. Paul is the nephew of Legendary Jimmy Paul and Thomas “Hitman” Hearns. Paul has been watching his uncles train, manage, and promote boxing his entire life. Now he is ready to showcase his skills in front of his uncles, family and fans.

Rounding out the show are five electric amateur bouts featuring Laurel’s own Amir Smith, Javion Smith, and Ethan Jackson.
