Here are your Jasper County Week 11 predictions as picked by Zach Buckley.

Bay Springs at Heidelberg

I picked Heidelberg to lose this tradition-ed rivalry last season, and the Oilers proved me wrong. I have a feeling Bay Springs will win this game, but you never know with this East vs. West rivalry. Second place in Region 5-2A is up for grabs.

As crazy as it sounds, there could be a rematch down the road in the playoffs. Look for the Oilers to make it close, but the Bulldogs will get revenge at the final buzzer.

Prediction: Bay Springs 22, Heidelberg 12.

Stringer at Lumberton

Deja Vu!

And here we go again…Stringer loses game one and goes on a nine-game win streak.

The Devils have done it again, and the mighty Lumberton Panthers wait to ruin it. The Panthers have fed on Red Devil success for the last five meetings.

I picked Stringer last year to win this game. Burn me once, your fault. Burn me twice, my mistake. Stringer, you are letting Lumberton rule your playoff dreams, and have done so since 2014.

There is no better year than 2018 to reach the top of your region. Someone better light the fire for the Devils, because the Panthers do not even see this as a rivalry.

This game might be the best matchup in the PineBelt, and hopefully, my prediction is wrong for the second straight year.

Prediction: Lumberton 36, Stringer 35.

Newton County Academy at Sylva-Bay Academy

Playoffs? Sylva-Bay? Playoffs? Yes!

That’s right; the Saints have not only made the playoffs, but they are also hosting the first two rounds for sure. Oops, I went ahead and made my prediction a little early.

The Saints are turning heads with their winning ways. They host those mean, physical Generals from Newton in Round 1.

The two have bad blood, but the Saints drew the sword first and often in the regular season whipping, 46-14. The only thing better about beating Newton this year is beating them twice in one year.

Prediction: Sylva Bay Academy 36, Newton County Academy 19.
